Growing up in Montreal, Canada; I never thought much about travel. My travel life consisted of regular trips to New York to visit family which then expanded to Toronto and Florida as my family grew and moved around. My first international trip was to Israel where I studied abroad for a year. And as much as I loved exploring the land, it wasn't until a few years later that the travel love really kicked in and took over my life.
My voyages began back in 2016 when I decided that I wanted to travel somewhere for Pesach (Passover). I booked a ticket, headed to Peru for about 10 days, and unleashed my inner wanderlust. How naïve I was to think that I was simply spending the holiday in Peru. I immediately fell in love with the chaos of being in a different country. The vibrant colors, the extraordinary culture, the abundant colors and life around me completely enthralled me.
Fast forward a few months and I began craving a vacation. Having experienced Latin America, I decided I wanted to head to Asia and what better way to visit it than to visit my friend Esther, the Chabad Shlucha (emissary) in Ho Chi Mhin. It was then that I got completely hooked to traveling, and I have been traveling since. Traveling came my way by accident, and has since become a way of life.
After living in New York for about 6 years, I packed up my apartment and became a full time digital nomad. My life is unconventional, constantly changing, and full of surprises...as life should be. More than just the travel component of my travels, it is the elements of curiosity, discovery, adventure, connection and new experiences that I seek, and that have become a part of who I am as a person. An added plot twist is that I am a religious Jew, and fully Shomer Shabbat and Kashrut. This plays a big part in my adventures!
After 29 countries, 23 States, and more adventures than I can count, it's become about time for me to start my own blog. I have been dreaming of this moment for way too long to understand why it's only happening now. But here we are!
There is so much that I want to share to inspire young folks in their 20s and 30s to travel and explore the world. I want to share my experiences, to guide you on your own digital nomad path, and to shape your life around a world of travel and adventure.
I invite you all to find the hidden surprises of travel within your daily life, no matter where you are. And of course, to join me along on my travels!
